I’ve been working in the world of corporate events since 2006. I started full-time at a London-based production company as a runner on-site and worked my way up to producer, gaining lots of experience and insights across the various event production departments.
I took the leap into the freelance world in 2010, pursuing the show producer role. Along the way, I have come to realise that I love the on-site, it is the best bit – working under pressure, getting the job done, doing it well and with like-minded people. This is why over the past ten years, I have honed my skillset at show calling; I love being part of a team, working together to make great things happen, calmly and smoothly.
Since COVID came crashing into our lives, I embraced (and still do) the world of virtual events. It was a monumental shift in show calling but I’m so glad I ‘just said yes’ as I learned so much, so quickly and with some great people. I’ve quite enjoyed the challenge of mixing things up and being able to broaden my skill set even further.
As well as show calling, I like to produce the content side of things too. I enjoy working on crafting the story from developing the event theme, devising the agenda, producing videos, and scriptwriting.
I am more than happy to support with either element or both!
